Mares has incorporated the latest technology into the 28XR-HR scuba regulator. The first stage uses an innovative balanced diaphragm, controlled by a double piston. The self-sealing technology (AST) guarantees a perfect seal against the possible ingress of sand or other particles, especially during cave diving or in contaminated water. The rotating turret with one vertical low pressure port and four low pressure ports allows it to be used in all configurations. Its flexibility allows it to be used in two-cylinder, stage and sidemount configurations.

The second stage features a simple, ultra-lightweight technopolymer housing that provides excellent performance. The large side knob allows you to adjust the breathing force, even when wearing thick neoprene gloves.

First stage

• Bright chrome-plated metal body.
• Natural DFC on all low pressure ports.
• TBP dry environmental sealing kit for improved cold water diving performance.
• AST: self-sealing technology.
• Four low pressure ports on rotating turret.
• Additional 5th low pressure port.
• Two symmetrical high pressure ports with 10° angle for perfect high pressure hose placement.
• NR joint - G5/8, 300 bar (DIN).
• NX joint - M26, 300 bar (nitrox).
