PIXEL is a 100% silicone short fin that benefits from Cressi-sub's experience as a manufacturer of diving and freediving fins since 1946 in terms of foot pocket anatomy, materials, design, and production. It is intended for swimming, but also for snorkeling and water sports that require fins only in certain situations: surfing and windsurfing in all their forms, rafting, canoeing, etc.

Features:

It combines two different materials in its structure:

1. Shore 75 silicone for the blade and midsole. This material is extremely lightweight and resistant to salt, chlorine, ozone, and UV rays. It is virtually unalterable over time and maintains its performance due to its reticular chemical structure. It is completely unbreakable, whether due to bending or twisting in any direction. It has the added advantage of being relatively shock-absorbing in case of accidental contact with other swimmers.
2. Shore 45 silicone for the foot pocket. Combines the appropriate thicknesses to achieve an ideal comfort-support ratio, reducing the risk of chafing or blisters.

Short blade with a concave cross-section for greater workload with a minimum blade length:

• Improved muscle strength and endurance.
• Helps perfect the kick by promoting a more natural and efficient movement in the water.
• Allows for a higher kick frequency, similar to that used in finless swimming.
• Ideal for both speed training and technique exercises, useful for swimmers of all levels.
• Reduced joint fatigue and stress: reduces pressure on the knees and ankles, reducing the risk of injury.

The fin's structure places the foot pocket midway between the blade for efficient power transmission, with a progressive and pleasant flutter stroke for the swimmer. It also reduces the hydrodynamic resistance of the upper part of the foot pocket.

By extending the stiffer upper material to the midsole of the foot pocket, cramps in the sole of the foot are prevented and energy transmission from the foot pocket to the upper is improved. The ankle area of ​​the foot pocket is thicker for reinforcement and greater support and features a small tab for easier donning. All profiles in contact with the skin are rounded for greater comfort.

Noteworthy are the proportions of the Cressi-sub base last, which is constantly evolving to adapt to the morphological variations that footwear habits have caused in the average European foot proportions (almost 20% in the last 30 years).
