Description:

The Apeks XL4+ is a compact, lightweight regulator suitable for diving in all environments, including cold water locations. Its design and low weight help reduce jaw fatigue on long dives. The XL4+ is also an ideal stage regulator, perfect for the exploration diver with a large amount of equipment.

The high pressure port gives the option of an additional accessory, for example, a transmitter for a computer.

First Stage

• 2 HP ports.
• Compact first stage machinery is based on the expedition-proven Apeks DS4 platform.
• Advanced and innovative environmental overmolding and innovative first stage seal and membrane help prevent icing, which could cause continuous flow of the first stage in extreme circumstances. It also protects the first stage from shock damage.
• The large-area heat exchanger helps increase the gas temperature inside the first stage, leading to better performance in cold water.
• Unique overcompensated diaphragm design - as the diver descends, the overcompensated first stage allows the gas pressure in the hose to increase at a higher rate than ambient. This improves performance at depth.

Second Stage

• Pneumatically compensated, high-performance cam-operated.
• Large, over-molded, self-discharging, easy-to-operate purge button.
• Ergonomic Venturi lever is easy to locate and use.
• White flexible braided nylon hose performs better in cold water than traditional rubber hose.
• Standard hose connection for improved interchangeability.
• Comfo-bite mouthpiece with a unique bridge that conforms to the upper palate and requires no bite pressure to hold in place.
• Reusable mouthpiece flanges make mouthpiece changing easier in the field.
• Flexible, durable baffles provide excellent bubble evacuation.
• UV inhibitors help prevent discoloration of white materials.
• Compatible with Octopus XL4+.
