QUANTUM MASK
Description:
The main innovation of the Cressi Quantum diving mask is that, in addition to offering better downward vision, it avoids the phenomenon of fogging by internally thermoregulating the warm, humid air coming out of the nose. This air is channeled by a system of membranes placed in the molding around the eyes and nose and diverting the flow towards the silicone skirt instead of the lenses.
The outer part of the skirt features a cooling system composed of two small heat exchangers that act as radiators. The effect is that the temperature inside the mask drops, approaching the outside temperature, and the droplets of moisture are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging up.
Despite the presence of small internal membranes that deflect the air flow and external heat exchangers, the Quantum mask body is compact and represents the most advanced design offered in the underwater vision market.
The lenses are not chemically treated and it should be remembered that when the mask is new, as with all masks, we recommend that you clean the lenses thoroughly with toothpaste or dishwashing detergent, or simply use a lighter to burn off all volatiles. materials and dust that may have accumulated on the glass. It is also always helpful to use saliva as a surfactant before each dive.
