Apeks Nitrox regulators are suitable for use with up to 100% O2 and are color coded for easy identification. The regulators have been specially cleaned and assembled in our "J" class (10,000) clean room using safe components and lubricants.

Nitrox devices will be supplied in Europe in accordance with EN 144-3 and EN13949, which states that devices sold in EEC (European Community) countries over 21% and up to 100% will be manufactured with the special M26 fitting.

Four medium pressure ports mounted on a rotating turret. This results in optimal hose routing while eliminating sharp hose bends.

It incorporates an innovative diver changeable exhaust (DCE) system. This system offers the diver the possibility to switch from a small exhaust outlet to a large exhaust outlet. This gives the user the choice between a wider exhaust nipple for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and a narrow exhaust nipple for a smaller, more compact and comfortable regulator.

The regulator is supplied with both sets of exhaust tees. An optional fifth port is available for side or two-bottle mounts. It can be converted from a right-hand to a left-hand hose configuration. The process of changing the regulator to a left-hand configuration is quick and easy. However, this procedure should ONLY be performed by an APEKS authorized service technician.

Braided flexible hoses are now standard on all models. These hoses are lighter, more flexible and more durable. Suitable for use in cold water (below 10 C / 50 F). EAN40 compatible right out of the box.H26.

Features:

First stage

• Unique overbalanced diaphragm design: as the diver descends, the overbalanced feature allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to increase at a faster rate than ambient. This results in superior performance at depth.
• An environmental sealing system keeps water out of the mainspring chamber thus preventing ice formation and the entry of sediment and contamination.

Second Stage

• The second stage makes breathing easier thanks to its pneumatic compensation.
• The XTX purge buttons are large and easy to use. It uses a 2-stage progressive purge: press the purge on the side for lower flow, useful when more control is needed (such as for filling lift balloons, etc.), then press the center to put it to work at maximum (such as for purging the regulator, etc.).
• The large Venturi lever has a soft rubber grip, making it easy for you to find and use. The lever reduces sediment ingress and thus resists any possible friction so you can operate smoothly.
• The easy-grip effort control knob allows the diver to always be in control.
• The second stage is manufactured with active protection against infection, as all molded parts are made with an additive that kills MRSA, protects against E. coli, bacteria and fungi, and is also very effective against viruses, mold and algae.
• The regulator's silicone purge makes breathing easier.
• Comfo-bite™ mouthpiece virtually eliminates jaw fatigue.
• The heat exchanger (patented), which surrounds the valve mechanism, eliminates the cold caused by gas expansion while providing warmth from the surrounding water.
