Dive safely: the importance of spools and buoys in the diving world
Spool and buoys are essential tools for a safe and successful dive, providing effective underwater guidance, marking and communication. With proper training and practice, these devices can significantly enhance the diving experience and diver safety.
Spools are reels with lines used during the dive for multiple purposes. They facilitate underwater navigation and exploration of underwater environments by providing a visual reference to mark specific routes and locations. In emergency situations, they deploy a marking line to follow back to the entry point.

Buoys are floating devices used to mark the diver's location, areas of interest or signal a safe ascent, improving the diver's safety and visibility at the surface. They also facilitate communication with the support boat and other divers.
