Description:

The fin structure positions the foot pocket at mid-height of the blade for efficient power transmission, with a progressive, swimmer-friendly finning. It also reduces the hydrodynamic resistance of the upper part of the foot pocket.

The sole has a calculated stiffness to prevent cramps in the sole of the foot. The rear part of the foot pocket is thicker, reinforcing it, and has a tongue that makes it easier to put on. All profiles in contact with the skin are rounded for greater comfort.

LIGHT combines three different materials in its structure:

  • Polypropylene for the upper and sole area. This material stands out for its great lightness and resistance to saltpetre, chlorine and ozone. It is unalterable over time and maintains its performance due to its great resistance. It is completely unbreakable, either by bending or twisting in any direction.
  • Rounded elastomer reinforcement on the lower profile of the blade. Prevents wear due to erosion caused by friction and protects other swimmers from occasional impacts.
  • Elastomer (thermoplastic rubber) very soft and comfortable. It is applied to the upper part of the foot pocket and the lateral stabilization ribs of the fin during swimming. Light benefits from all the Cressi-sub experience as a manufacturer of diving and freediving fins since 1946 in footpocket anatomy, materials, design and production. All these processes are carried out 100% in the Cressi-sub factory in Genoa (Italy).

The proportions of the Cressi-sub base last, which is constantly evolving to adapt to the morphological variations that footwear habits have caused in the average proportions of the European foot (almost 20% in the last 30 years), should be highlighted. For stores located on the coastline, the option of a short, highly resistant fin is also particularly interesting as an aid to movement and protection for light snorkeling, especially in rocky areas.
