MASTER ARA is the most technical Cressi diving fin, the one that achieves the best performance in difficult situations (currents, etc.) and the one that allows you to maintain a higher forward speed with a very limited effort. This fin is based on the principles of construction and materials used in freediving and spearfishing fins, especially the concept that began with the development of the prestigious Gara series. It is the fin of choice for instructors, professionals and technical divers, who find in it an unequalled propulsive tool in any condition.

Materials

Made of three different materials fused in a single process (patented by Cressi). Each one is applied to different areas of the fin according to its requirements in terms of flexibility, hardness, reaction or resistance. In this way, each zone can be assigned the ideal dynamic characteristic required, without the need to increase thickness, achieving maximum lightness and inertia savings:

Flexible elastomer - thermo-rubber - Shore 50º (gray color): applied to areas requiring flexibility and elasticity (toe of footpocket, inside of sole and instep area in contact with the ankle) as they influence the diver's comfort.

Shore 90º compact elastomer (black color): flexible but not elastic. It is applied to areas that require a rubbery, non-slip but firm and highly resistant composition, such as the longitudinal ribs, the sole of the foot pocket and the foot support band (located in the middle of the instep). This material connects the critical point of energy transmission (the instep) with the ribs in a single piece, avoiding the very common loss of energy through excessively flexible compounds of the foot pocket (heavy, slow and instep-fatiguing flapping).

Polypropylene: a material inherited from freediving whose main characteristic is the very rapid transmission of the energy applied. It is applied to the vamp and the internal area of the sole sandwich. It is very nervous and reactive and facilitates a very agile finning and a vertiginous advance. It has an effort/performance ratio clearly superior to rubber (natural or thermoplastic), polyurethane, EVA and only surpassed by carbon. It also has a high resistance to breakage to the point that Cressi guarantees it for life for sports use.

Its wide blade in high modulus polypropylene without any commercial ornamentation, maintains the original reactivity of polypropylene and its wide surface guarantees a very comfortable advance with very slight movements, as well as a good stability of the diver in static situations. The absence of lateral ribs at the end of the blade makes it easy to control the fin in the water, to alternate types of finning, turning or stabilizing. The foot pocket has three different volumes with a narrower middle area so that the foot remains firmly fixed inside it and the transmission of the foot/foot pocket effort is direct and precise.

EBS BUCKLE SYSTEM.

It combines new buckles of essential and hydrodynamic design, adaptable to all Cressi models, with an innovative self-adjusting strap made of pure latex with high elasticity. Latex is the most elastic material in nature and has the property of being able to elongate up to 8 times its length without breaking and with total elastic memory, that is, recovering the initial length. Applied to the fin strip, it provides enormous advantages:

  • Reduces the need for sizing since the same strip comfortably covers a wide range of elongation.
  • Allows a comfortable positioning vs. fastening ratio of the fin, far superior to spring systems, precisely because of its high elastic coefficient (X8 vs. X1.5 of the spring).
  • It eliminates the cumbersome need for adjustment of traditional buckles, a process that does not always guarantee the correct attachment of the fin, especially in novice divers or situations of hard stress in the fitting process.
  • It allows, while maintaining the comfort of finning, a high level of pressure on the heel essential to achieve a correct transmission of the energy applied to the fin without loss of energy due to "spring effect".
  • It assimilates the crushing of the neoprene of the foot pocket when descending and compresses the neoprene without loss of attachment.
  • It is easily replaceable and essential both conceptually and in its manufacture and assembly.
  • The natural latex used is of the highest quality with no fillers that alter its performance and guarantees high resistance to wear, salt spray and exposure to the sun.
